There are lots of fitness and health or step trackers available, lots of people find these useful but they are not a substitute for better food and healthy eating habits.
In the meantime, ironing is not exercise!
Normal day to day activity needs to be supplemented with exercise that elevates your heart rate to have any impact on your food consumption; as a minimum, walking, running or swimming for at least 20 minutes, 3-5 days per week is recommended.
Unless you're running 5k, walking 10k or equivalent, at least four times each week, your allowances will provide the energy you need.
